Making the Case 2
Making cases and enclosures always seemed like a job that required specialized tools. Most of my attempts at making enclosures resulted in some sad looking boxes. I just settled on using enclosures already fabricated. This presented its own set of problems. Fitting became an issue, the boxes would be either too big or too small. Another problem was machining the enclosures so I could place connectors, switches, or displays. All said, my skills at making enclosures is truly poor. This is my reasoning behind studying the subject and taking on the challenge to do it right.
While searching I came across instructions provided by Tap Plastics. They are a reseller and custom fabricator of plastic enclosures, among other things. I found this video inspiring. Now, I had some direction in the whole business of custom enclosures.
